Welcome

A Word from the Principal

Dear Independence Families,

We would like to express our gratitude for welcoming our IE family into your children's lives this year. As a Leader in Me school, IE has been excited to embrace leadership and the opportunity to help grow, develop, and use the unique gifts and talents of our students to write and celebrate their own unique Story of Learning. In developing each student’s story, we strive to look at the whole child and to give each student what he/she needs to promote a sense of wellness; to be healthy socially, psychologically, emotionally, and physically. Through this, we feel every child will be successful not only in school, but in life. We are committed to building relationships and to help flourish the grit in each of our students to see themselves as thinkers and learners. We cannot wait to see the opportunities and growth that unfold this year as each child begins this next chapter. This will be an amazing year!

Remember, our first line of our Mission Statement is...TOGETHER! This is not to be taken lightly. When our school uses this word, it means that all stakeholders - students, staff, parents, and community - are all in this together. We need you, and are excited that you are on this journey with us. Please never hesitate to reach out to us and ask any questions you may have; we are happy to lend a helping hand. Please take that precious time to have conversations with your child about their thinking, not just in school, but in life. We are all instrumental in the development of your child’s story.

We are all looking forward to an exciting year. See you soon, and Go Broncos!

Sincerely,

Nate Fuller Principal
