Young Fives
Please label the following items:

An oversized, white T-shirt with your child’s first name and last initial printed on the front and back of the shirt in large, permanent letters. This shirt will be kept at school and worn to physical education, art, spanish, and music classes. The shirt should be large enough to fit over your child’s clothing, but not so large that it will be a distraction.

A pair of non-marking gym shoes, which will also be kept at school for physical education class, since “everyday” shoes are not allowed on the gym floor. Velcro shoes are recommended for any child who is not yet able to tie his/her own shoes.

An 18 quart/17 L rectangular, plastic storage tote (18 ⅛” L x 12 ¼” W x 7” H). Your child must be able to fit their rest blanket, pillow and rest buddy in the box independently and with ease. Feel free to help your child personalize their tote with stickers, drawings, etc.!

A small blanket/towel and small pillow (no larger than a mini-pillow pet). These items will be used for rest time each day, and they must be small enough to easily fit inside your child’s plastic storage tote.

Your child is also welcome to keep one rest buddy (small stuffed animal) at school for rest time. Please help your child to choose a stuffed animal that he/she will be okay keeping at school, since rest buddies will not be sent home each night.

A spiral-bound notebook with a solid-colored cover.
-
A durable school bag or backpack to be brought to school each day. It must be small enough to fit inside your child’s locker, but large enough to hold a library book and lunch box. Please do not purchase a backpack with wheels.

Extra clothes in a labeled Ziploc bag. These clothes will be kept in your child’s locker in case of a spill or accident. Please include socks and underwear.

A spill-proof water bottle that can be brought to/from school each day. The children will have many opportunities to drink from their water bottle during the day.

A pair of headphones that can be plugged into an ipad (no cordless, please)

A large, canvas pencil pouch with a zipper that is large enough to hold crayons, scissors & a glue stick
